PASTORAL LETTER FOR EASTER 2008 A.D.
"He is risen, he is risen!
Tell it out with joyful voice.
He has burst His three days' prison.
Let the whole wide earth rejoice:
Christ has won the victory."
When we think of Easter, there is little more to say than these words of Joachim Neander. They sum up the entire message of Resurrection. Read once more the Good News for man in the fourth verse:
"He is risen, he is risen!
He hath opened heaven's gate
We are free from sin's dark prison
Risen to a holier state;
And a brighter Easter beam
On our longing eyes shall stream."
A most Happy and Glorious Easter to all.
"The Lord is Risen, He is Risen Indeed."
